This review is from: "THE ORIGINAL UMBRELLA STAND" - USE ANYWHERE, SAND/GRASS/SOIL-STEEL COLOR BLUE WITH THUMBSCREWS (Electronics) I gave this a five star since it does what it's supposed to do! It is designed for a larger type pole, but a simple solution is to cut a piece of PVC to fit what you have. Super easy to put in the ground. Holds your umbrella just fine. The thumb screw works just fine to hold things. What else is there to say? It's an umbrella holder and it does what it's supposed to do with ease. The soccer fields in my area must have a concrete base. I had to hammer the stand into the ground to get it all the way down. After the 3rd use the stand was bent. I will not be buying another stand. Shorter spikes will not work because they don't hold. Maybe a wider base? Longer spikes?
